Intro from a city guy
Hello there :)
I'm Jason and long story short I am desperatly wanting to begin/establish a profitable farming venture. I currently live in a semi-rural suburb here in Perth and that coupled with previous exposure to farming lifestyle has fanned an inferno from what what was perpertualy smouldering embers.
I love the rural lifestyle, and there aren't words to describe my love and desire to go back to a more centered "self-sufficient" type of living. I kind of equat this to the "Fusion" period of cooking that I was exposed to when doing my training in kitchens and think that it is prevalent today in a rural/farming lifestyle with some digital age additions.
I'm currently keen as all hell for a "tree-change" and am eager to learn everything this community has to offer me, and I hope in the future to teach some new members what I've learnt and experienced. I am looking for a lifestyle property but I want it to be productive as well, end goal is a "gourmet farm" in-which I've chosen a couple of key markets to approach.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you are well.
Lastly.. in doing research for my venture.. I want to capitilize on as much passive solar/water gains as I can, my research indicates these are area's in which farmers seem to battle with.. especially water.. so was wondering if it's possible to connect ALL gutters from buildings to water tanks/dam/s?.. I have a mudmap of my building layout for what I would like to do and have a massive amount of roof space potential to capture rainfall.. was curious what everyone else thought?.
Thank you again and hope to chat with you all very soon.
Kind Regards,
Jason.
