Kiwi wanting to sheep farm in Australia

Hi there, i am a kiwi looking to move to Australia in the future. I am looking at getting into sheep farming and have basic knowledge. Is there farms that will train someone on the job or will i need to complete courses first?

Hi Nikita,

Welcome to the small farms forum and thanks for the question.

If you are looking for practical experience I would consider working as a jackaroo or farm hand, on the flip side if you are looking for theoretical knowledge you could look at a tafe short course or something online.
