Selling meat from home or at a market

I am looking for some advice as to where I can get some information on selling Pasture raised pigs & sheep meat. I would only be packing & selling on, the animals would actually be slaughtered at a licensed slaughter house. I am located in South Australia.

Hi there Moonie Hills,

 

That should be o.k. If in Qld,  the animals need to go to a licensed butcher to be dressed, after slaughter. If the butcher has a licensed slaughter house as well, then that is great. For further info if you are in Qld, then you can get in touch with DPI who will be able to give the full regulations and requirements for selling your own meat.
