Five years in- Hobby farm with Wiltipoll sheep near Dubbo.

Hi. We have had our 70 acres for 5 years now. Both husband and I were raised on large properties and we decided to buy a hobby farm to raise our children . My parents have 6000 acres two hours away and we often lend a hand there still.

On our farm we raise mostly Wiltipoll sheep ( genuine self shedding breed),chickens (show quality Dark Barred Plymouth Rock), plant pasture (rose clover) and feed oats. I make gaots milk soaps and lotions so we are about to buy our first milking goat soon. As well as grow all the veggies, herbs, olive, grapes ect. The children have a shetland pony and I have my old droving pony. I have a blog I have started more as a journal to remember such annual jobs as sowing and lambing and weather.  Please take alook if interested : https//lansdownefarm.wordpress.com

I am enjoying your blog. I am also a bit envious, it would be nice to downsize, maybe soonish. Cheers Rob.
