Hobby farmer needs?

I live around the Sunshine Coast area and was wondering what hobby farmers needs are?

A little farm?

Okay.... given the above..... a lot of patience.

If you have no farming or livestock knowlege then that is what you will need. If you launch in without the knowledge or experience then you are in for a very difficult intesive and often stressfull learning period.

What is your level of knowledge?

Hi Snow,

You need a lot of everything if you are going to be a successful hobby farmer or a farmer of any description. I have learnt over the years that a farmer needs to be a jack of all trades from a mechanic, accountant, vet, nutritionist, agronomist, business manager, shearer and so on.

Not sure that I (and others) know exactly what you are asking, you might clarify with another post.

Hi Snow

We started a forty acre hobby farm six years ago and the learning curve was steep at times but... the rewards are never ending and we are doing really well now. To learn what we needed to know we talked to neighbours, surfed the net, applied a lot of patience, common sense, sheer determination and a bit of trail and error. Good luck with it all.
