Bushfire Support 

It's been a tough month for many communities across Victoria as bushfires ravaged the state. If you or someone you know is in need of some support, below are a few resources.

Bushfire support

Ground Support

  • If your property has been impacted by fire and you have urgent animal welfare concerns, contact the VicEmergency Hotline on 1800 226 226.
  • To request emergency fodder from VFF's Emergency Fodder Support Program, call 1300 882 or visit vff.org.au.
  • Eligible property owners may get support to repair fencing. To find out more 136 186.  

Financial Support

  • Grants of up to $75,000 are available to eligible primary producers to help cover the costs of their bushfire recovery. Loans of up to $250,000 are also available to eligible producers. For more information on eligibility and how to apply, visit ruralfinance.com.au.

Personal Wellbeing Support

  • The National Centre for Farmer Health is supporting primary producers through a number of initiatives to boost farmer mental health and wellbeing. For more information, visit farmerhealth.org.au/support-hub-victoria.
  • Flying Doctor Wellbeing is a free mental health and wellbeing service for rural and remote Victorian communities.
