New member - Brisbane - looking for agistment for cattle

Hi everyone, I'm from southwest Brisbane and am starting my own small herd. I'm right at the beginning - I have a brangus heifer coming in 3-4 months, and am looking to have in here for a short period, then move to agistment. I plan to build the herd up over time as I can pick up cattle at the right price, and put a bull over the heifers when they are ready.
I'm not a complete novice, as my family have always had cattle, not big farms. The plan is to get a block to run the cattle on at some point, but until then I'll look to agist them within a reasonable drive so that I can keep an eye on them, and sort out any issues that arise.
I would love to hear how others are getting on with cattle on small blocks, feed strategies etc. Anyway I'll poke around the forum but feel free to say hi.
Regards,
Eddie

Hi Eddie,

Welcome to the small farm forum, nice to have you as part of the community.

Sounds like an exciting time for you starting a small beef herd, look forward to how your farming journey progresses and if you can provide any advice to other small landholders it would be appreciated.

Regards,

Charlie
