December 2011: Purchase has been finalised on 280 acres

January 2012: Massive cleanup of home paddock - years of accumulated rubbish - given away to "Collector Reg" the towns garbo - who sold it for cash. This guy worked like a trouper to loaded 2 dump trucks in a day - mammoth effort. Had a few trees felled due to proximity of house and driveway (noting down distances, height and reasons for actions with reference to the Native Vegetation Act), to cover our a's just in case. Rain begins late January and postpones roadworks on access driveway.

February 2012: Still raining and grass growing. Driveway washed away and limits access to 4WD. Was taught how to divine for water - truly amazing how it works. "Thar's water under them thar hills"

March 2012: Still raining, grass still growing - need to check fences to get stock on, but unable due to access. Dams full though but nothing to drink it.

April 2012: Same old, same old.

May 2012: Rain clearing enough to get road done - waiting for the contractor to become available again. Spoke to a guy with a portable timber milling machine - would like to slab the few trees just felled so as not to go to waste.

June 2012:
